EOI for Tsunami Emergency Planning Handbook Review Working Group

The Tsunami Emergency Planning in Australia Handbook (2018) is now due for review. This handbook is part of the Australian Disaster Resilience Handbook Collection and is a guide to the key principles of tsunami preparedness. Its purpose is to enhance the capacity and knowledge of emergency managers with regards to emergency planning for tsunami in Australia. The handbook outlines the key scientific information and principles of risk assessment, warning systems, emergency planning, community education, response management and recovery, in the context of tsunami.   

AIDR is seeking expressions of interest for working group participants.  

The role of the working group is to guide the review by attending meetings, sharing relevant knowledge and expertise and reviewing drafts to ensure the content of the Handbook is current and reflects both local and international good principles and practice. The working group is supported by the AIDR Knowledge Development team. 

The review is scheduled to be completed by June 30 2024.
