Contribute to a special edition of AJEM

AIDR is seeking news and views, and research papers to feature in a special edition of the Australian Journal of Emergency Management (AJEM).

The July edition of AJEM will share stories and research focusing on accelerating action for disaster risk reduction.

The July edition will be aligned to the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR), convened by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), in Brisbane from 29 June to 2 July 2020.

The conference serves as a critical point in time to review progress and set the course for disaster resilience in the Asia-Pacific across the next decade. Over 3,000 delegates from 50 countries are expected to attend the event.

AJEM is Australia’s premier journal for emergency management covering all hazards and all emergencies. It includes a variety of research to practice articles, global government and community engagement pieces.

The Journal is primarily focused on promoting and facilitating discussion and debate at all levels of emergency management.

Research papers submitted to the Journal will be peer reviewed in line with the AJEM editorial policy.

Please submit content by the following deadlines:

  • Research: 3 April
  • News and views: 17 May

For all editorial opportunities, please submit content to the AJEM Managing Editor.
